Sheila graduated with a degree in Animal Science from the University of Reading before qualifying as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. After five years in primary care practice, she completed a residency in Feline Medicine at the University of Bristol and has since led medicine departments within several of the UK's leading referral hospitals, held academic and postgraduate leadership positions, and lectured nationally and internationally on feline medicine and endoscopy.
Sheila established Small Animal Endoscopy Referrals to provide a dedicated mobile canine and feline endoscopy service for first-opinion and referral practices across Mid Wales, Shropshire and Staffordshire, bringing specialist minimally invasive diagnostics directly to local veterinary teams. Alongside clinical practice, she is Head of Veterinary Programmes at International Cat Care and remains passionate about advancing feline medicine and welfare through clinical excellence, education and collaboration with primary care veterinary teams. She has over 20 years' experience in referral medicine and veterinary endoscopy, with particular interests in minimally invasive endoscopy, feline gastroenterology, renal and ureteric disease and Cat Friendly Practice.
